Hockey Buds Team
Experience: I've played ball hockey for 30+ years, coached senior men's, women's, and minor at every level from tournaments to leagues. I was president of St. John's Ball Hockey league for 10+ years, organized and ran Northpoint Sports Ball Hockey Leagues for 20+ yrs, hosted multiple tournaments, was a member of the Newfoundland and Labrador Ball Hockey Association Board, took part in National Team Camps, Assistant Coach with U9 St. John's Minor Caps Hockey and creator of Hockey Buds.
Reason for wanting to coach: My main reason for coaching minor sports is in part because of my son and I wanted to create an atmosphere where kids can build up their confidence, learn new skills, gain new friends and most of all have fun!
Favorite part about being a coach: My favorite part about coaching is the positive impact that we as Hockey Buds' coaches have on the kids that participate in our program. We live by our motto "No one left behind, every child plays". We have a strong emphasis on team building and promote strongly against bullying. I am very happy and feel privilege to have such a great team around me, our whole team truly loves what they are doing and the ultimate reward is seeing the smiles on the faces of the kids that participate.

Experience: Current coach at hockey buds...soccer coach at Larkhall Academy for past 4 years...special Olympics volunteer...played all sports for most of my life.
Reason for wanting to coach: Love working with kids and helping them achieve their goals and teaching them their skills to help them improve their sports knowledge
Favorite part about being a coach: Seeing the kids enjoy themselves and improving as they continue their sports journey with hockey buds.

Experience: Assistant Coach with Hockey Buds since 2019 and Swimming instructor for kids of all ages.
Reason for wanting to coach: I want to help them have good teamwork skills and to be able to connect and communicate with their teammates. I enjoy coaching kids because it gives them a sense of team building. I enjoy being part of the team.
Favorite part about being a coach: My favorite part of coaching is engaging with the kids and making them feel welcome. Seeing them have fun and enjoying the games we provide for them.

Experience: Hockey buds, Kelly Park Sports Association(3 years), Umpired through SJMBA for all ages 3-18 played baseball hockey soccer frisbee and most other sports besides basketball.
Reason for wanting to coach: Enjoy coaching kids as I have always had jobs involving coaching.
Favorite part about being a coach: Friendly environment and that I feel heard if I was to make a suggestion.

Favorite part about being a coach: My favorite part about coaching is the positive impact we have on the kids that participate. Seeing happy faces and excitement from the kids each week makes doing this priceless.
