Reason for wanting to coach: I am passionate about sports particularly Hockey, I love to encourage and motivate young athletes and I am a big believer of teammates first philosophy, I was impressed as a parent first by Hockey buds when his my child had learning difficulties and ADHD and struggled in his introduction to Hockey. “He was having a hard go of it, it was difficult to watch on the sidelines but the coaches didn’t give up on him they encouraged him, worked with him and made him feel he belonged. He’s now striving in multiple sports. This program works, it helps kids build confidence and improve athletic abilities. That was the turning point for me, I needed to get involved, I wanted to do the same and pass that on to other kids.

Favorite part about being a coach: The Hockey Buds motto is No one is left behind which is my favorite part and I also have adopted that in Roller Hockey with our kids I coach there as well. Be a good player but be a great teammate and you will never regret playing sports. .
